There are several reasons I believe we should not eradicate the fallow dear including my belief it is unnecessary, blown out of proportion, poor optics with wealthier private land owners having the feds pay a huge amount to clear an island for political optics.

Thanks for the email John. I am not sure if we have met, however I agree with you. There are several reasons I believe we should not eradicate the fallow dear including my belief it is unnecessary, blown out of proportion, poor optics with wealthier private land owners having the feds pay a huge amount to clear an island for political optics.
Also the most invasive species everywhere is human. Should we be eradicated as well? I am building a new cabin on lot 95 as the CRD ordered our existing cabin not permitted for occupancy from previous owners. I rarely see a deer and see hundred times more in Victoria.
An eradication is a waste of resources, and an embarrassment for us all. And deer could continue to swim over, what then, and, who cares?
Can I send my proxy to you and how is this done? I vote to keep the fallow deer and am not in favour of the over hyped SIERP with PC eradication of this animal.
Even though we are not hunters we appreciate that hunters are ethical and do so for enjoyment as conservationists to cull the herd. People bought here to enjoy the hunting too. Thanks,
